더글라스 대학교 (Douglas Colelge)는 1970년 Kwantlen Polytechnic University (콴틀렌 이공 대학교)의 분교로 설립되어 1981년 독립한 설립된 실무 중심의 공립 대학교이다. 타학교 학부 편입과정(University Transfer), 4년제 학위과정(Bachelor’s Degree), 2년제 학위과정(associated degrees), 직업교육과정(Certificate or Diploma), 준석사과정(Post-Degree Diploma / Post-Baccalaureate Diploma)이 있다.
2. 역사[편집]
1970년 "Kwantlen Polytechnic University"의 분교로 설립되었다. 이후 1981년 독립해 Douglas College로 명명되었다.

5. 특징[편집]
밴쿠버 내의 컬리지 중에서 Langara(랭가라)는 비교적 학문중심적이고 UBC나 SFU 편입과정이 유명하다면, Douglas(더글라스)는 Langara(랭가라) 비해 실용적인 직업양성 과정과 편입과정도 모두 제공하는 컬리지이다. 특히 안경사가 될 수 있는 안경광학과나 유아교육학과가 유명하다. Vancouver Community College (VCC)는 커뮤니티컬리지로, 직업전문과정이 주를 이루고 있다.
