크래쉬의 데뷔 앨범.
1991년 보컬 겸 베이시스트인 안흥찬과 기타리스트 윤두병을 중심으로 결성된 크래시는 환경 보전 슈퍼콘서트 '93내일은 늦으리' 무대에서 데뷔한 크래쉬는 자신들의 자작곡인 '최후의 날에'를 불러 주목받았다. (Vo & Bass 안흥찬, Guitar 윤두병, Guitar 이영호, Drum 정용욱) 이후 그들은 1년 뒤 첫 앨범을 내게 되는데, 아쉽게도 이영호가 그때 당시 군 입대를 해서 3인조 형식으로 녹음되었다.
당시 한국의 메탈 밴드들은 실력이나 곡의 퀄리티는 뛰어났으나 사운드와 프로듀싱은 해외 밴드들에 미치지 못하였다. 이에 SKC 산하의 메탈 전문 레이블인 메탈포스는
카르카스,
피어 팩토리,
네이팜 데스 등을 프로듀싱한 영국의 유명 프로듀서인 콜린 리처드슨을 프로듀서로 삼아 레코딩을 진행하였다. 콜린 리처드슨은 사운드의 퀄리티에 심혈을 기울였고 그 결과 앨범의 사운드와 프로듀싱은 그야말로 다른 메탈 밴드들과는 격을 달리 하였다. 안흥찬의 야수 같은 그로울링과 윤두병의 공격적이면서 세심한 리프들, 그리고 정용욱의 육중한 투베이스 드러밍은 찬사를 받았으며, 앨범의 곡들의 퀄리티 또한 매우 뛰어났다. 놀라운 점은 곡들을 레코딩할때
마샬 앰프와
BOSS 메탈(Metal Zone) 이펙터만을 사용하였다는 것이다.
데뷔 앨범에 메탈 앨범이란 점을 감안하면 꽤나 성공한 앨범으로 10만 장 이상을 팔았는데, 이후 이 앨범의 뛰어난 퀄리티에 충격을 먹은 다른 메탈 밴드들도 해외 밴드의 사운드를 카피하는 수준에서 벗어나 자신들만의 사운드를 찾기 위해 외국의 프로듀서를 기용하는 등 많은 노력을 기울였으며,
너바나의 등장으로
얼터너티브 록이 주류로 떠올랐을 때도 한국의 언더그라운드 시장은 굳건히 메탈이 몇 년간 그 대세를 이어갔다.

[1] 정확히는 유튜브 아트 트랙 프로젝트에 따라 자동 생성된 채널이다.
에 앨범의 전곡이 올라와 있었는데, 어째서인지 앨범의 커버가 위 사진의 그것이 아니고 2집 "To Be Or Not To Be"의 커버로 올라와 있다. 지금은 재생이 막혔는데, 2022년 11월에 새로운 채널에 4, 5집이 올라온 것과 연관이 있는 것으로 추정된다. 사실 이 채널에 원래 4집이 올라와 있었고 5집에 나중에 올라왔는데, 6집은 또 다른 채널에, 가장 최근에 낸 EP는 또 다른 채널에 올라와 있다. 아무래도 소속사를 옮기는 등의 일로 인해 앨범 판권이 파편화된 듯하다.

- 콜린 리처드슨이 크게 호평한 곡으로, 이 앨범에서 가장 좋은 평가를 받는 곡이다. 외국의 메탈헤드들도 굉장히 호평한 곡으로, 크래쉬 멤버들도 애정이 있는 곡인지 한국어 버전과 영어 버전으로 앨범에 두 곡을 수록하였다.
