후한 말의 인물이자 양표의 아버지로 자는 백헌(伯献).

태위양공비, 문렬양공비에서는 백유(伯猷), 원굉의 한기에서는 자헌(子獻), 사승의 후한서에는 백흠(伯欽)으로 기록되어 있다.

사례 홍농군 화음현 출신으로 전한의 공신 양희[1]로부터 4세손 양창은 전한의 승상, 8세손 양진은 사도, 태위를 역임했고 양사는 양진의 아들이다.

젊어서 집의 학문을 전하고 뜻이 깊고 두터워 사물에 대해 널리 알았으며, 평소에는 은거하면서 검소하게 살면서 문인들에게 학문을 가르치고 주, 군의 부름을 받아도 응하지 않았다. 대장군 양기의 휘하에 들어갔지만 양기가 마음에 들어하지 않았으며, 진창의 현령에 임명되었지만 병으로 부임하지 않았다. 공거가 가거나 사공의 부름을 받아도 거절했다. 사공고제에 올라 두 번 자리를 옮겨 시중, 월기교위를 지냈다.

168년에 영제가 학문을 배운다고 태부, 삼공에게 조칙을 내리면서 상서에게 환영의 장구학을 통해 예전부터 이름이 널리 알려진 사람을 고르게 했으며, 삼공이 양사를 추천해 영제에게 강의했다. 양사는 광록훈으로 자리를 옮겼다가 172년에 어좌 앞에 파란 뱀이 나타나 영제가 그 일에 대해 묻자 이에 대한 의견을 냈으며, 173년 2월에 사공이 되었다가 천재지변을 이유로 7월에 면직되었고 광록대부에 임명되었다.

175년에는 채옹, 당계전, 마일제, 장순, 한열, 선양 등과 함께 육경의 문자를 바로잡겠다고 상주해 영제가 이를 수락했다.

176년에 사도가 되었고 178년에 가덕전에 무지개가 나타나자 영제가 재난을 없애고 정상적으로 되돌리는 법에 대해 물었는데, 양사는 조절, 왕보 등과 홍도문학에 대해 비판했고 양사는 황제의 스승이라는 이유로 죄는 면했다. 양사는 삼로가 되었고 179년 10월에 영곤원을 만드는 것에 간언했지만 중상시들이 이를 밀어붙였으며, 181년에 병으로 퇴직했다가 182년에 태위가 되었다.

영제가 태평도의 일에 대해 묻자 양사는 태평도와 일반 백성을 엄격하게 구별해 태평도를 믿는 자들을 고립시켜 태평도의 우두머리만 체포하라고 건의했지만 영제는 기뻐하지 않았다. 184년 2월에 황건적의 난이 일어나자 4월에 양사는 도적과 연루되었다는 모함을 받아 면직되었으며, 영제가 옛 일을 기록한 문서를 보다가 양사, 유도가 올린 상주문을 보고 양사는 임진후에 봉했다. 185년에 사공에 임명되었다가 사망한다.
