원곡자는 B.J. 토마스로, 1968년 말에 발매돼 빌보드 핫 100에서 5위를 차지한 히트곡이다. 1969년 빌보드 핫 100 연말 차트에서 99위에 올랐다.

이 곡을 블루 스위드가 커버해 1974년 발매했는데, 이게 1974년 빌보드 핫 100 연말 차트 20위에 오를 정도로 큰 성공을 거두었다. 원곡과는 달리 전주에 '우가차카 우가우가'하는 챈트가 삽입되었으며 곡조도 보다 신나게 바뀌었다. 스웨덴 음악가의 곡으로는 최초로 빌보드 핫 100 1위를 차지했다.
