오스트레일리안 풋볼의 AFL 팀. 애들레이드의 서북근교 포트 애들레이드에 위치한 클럽. 애들레이드 크로우즈와 같이 남호주에 연고하는 팀이며, 둘의 더비매치는 쇼우다운(Showdown)이라고 하며, AFL 더비 중 치열하다. 팀 컬러는 원래 컬러 (흰색, 검은색)에 AFL 참가를 위해 청록색[3]과 회색을 추가. 파워(Power)라는 명칭은 미국 스포츠에서 영감받은 명칭이다.

(포트 애들레이드 맥파이즈 한정으로) 남호주 원조 강호. 37번의 우승[4]을 자랑하는 남호주의 명문 클럽.[5] 쉽게 말하자면 남호주 인 사이의 취급은 콜링우드 혹은 맨유[6]와 비슷하다. 팬과 안티가 둘다 많은 클럽이기 때문. 또 공교롭게 콜링우드와 유사한게 많은데, 별명도 그렇고[7] 연고지도 현지인 사이에서 쩌리취급이기 때문.

포트 애들레이드 물론 호식축구 클럽 중에서 오랫 전통과 역사를 자랑한다.[8] AFL에 가입한지 겨우 20년 됐지만, 실은 전부터 가입을 희망하였고, 소속인 애들레이드 리그도 역사가 길기 때문.
