홍콩의 개방대학, 원격대학이다.

과거 이름은 홍콩공개대학( 香港公開大學, The Open University of Hong Kong, OUHK )이다. 2021년에 현재의 이름으로 변경되었다.

강의 언어로 영어와 중국어가 제공된다.

5. 역사[편집]

1989년 5월, 홍콩 정부에서 홍콩 오픈 러닝 인스티튜트(Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong, OLI)를 설립한 것이 시작이다. 이는 홍콩 최초의 원격학습기관이다. 1992년 8월, 홍콩 정부는 OLI 졸업생에게 학위 수여를 승인했다. 1997년에는 대학교로 승격했다.

2014년 홍콩 민주화 운동의 핵심 주동자 중에 한명이었던, 조슈아 웡(Joshua Wong Chi-Fung)이 이 대학교의 공공행정학과를 졸업했다고 알려져 있다.
