[[2022년]] [[7월 12일]]에 발매된 [[SUPER JUNIOR]]의 정규 11집 중 첫 번째 작품.

여러모로 스페셜 앨범 활동의 이미지가 강했던 앞서 발매된 <[[The Road : Winter for Spring]]>에 이은 슈퍼주니어의 2022년 <The Road> 시리즈의 본격적인 신호탄을 알린 앨범이다.

<The Road>라는 키워드를 통해 정규 10집 <[[The Renaissance]]>와의 연관성과 [[SM Culture Universe|SMCU]]의 핵심 키워드인 광야로 향하는 듯한 여정을 그린 세계관을 모두 녹여내었으며[* 사실 [[SM Culture Universe|SMCU]]에 대해 제일 강하게 반발하고 있지만 [[최강창민|선배그룹이자 동료]]의 충고를 --어쩔 수 없이-- 받아들인 듯 하다......] 2파트에 걸친 앨범 발매와 1개월에 걸친 적극적 프로모션을 통해 기존 앨범과는 다른 소극적인 방송 활동의 공백을 메웠다.

정규 10집 <[[The Renaissance]]>가 슈퍼주니어 음악관의 과거와 현재를 담아낸 앨범이라면 이 앨범은 커플링곡 <[[Don't Wait]]>의 스페셜 앨범 <[[DEVIL(SUPER JUNIOR)|DEVIL]]>을 떠올리게 하는 위트함과 중남미 시장을 겨냥한 듯한 타이틀곡 <[[Mango(SUPER JUNIOR)|Mango]]>의 트로피컬적인 컨셉을 통해 2010년 중반 이후의 슈퍼주니어의 음악관을 집약하였다.

앞서 발표된 투어 <[[SUPER SHOW 9 : ROAD]]> 해외 투어 일정과 [[유튜브]]의 전세계적인 활성화에 따른 [[K-POP]]계 앨범 프로모션 판도의 변화에 따라 이번 앨범은 음악 방송 없이 활동하게 되었으며 앨범 발매와 콘서트의 간극이 1주일이 채 되지 않는다는 점에서 스페셜 앨범 <[[DEVIL(SUPER JUNIOR)|DEVIL]]>과 정규 9집 <[[Time_Slip]]>과도 같은 활동 모양새를 거쳐가게 되었다.

2곡의 댄스 넘버 타이틀곡과 뮤직비디오 제작, 그리고 <[[SUPER SHOW 9 : ROAD]]> 에서의 전 수록곡 세트리스트 배치 등을 통해 <[[The Road(SUPER JUNIOR)|The Road]]> 3부작 가운데 가장 정식 앨범 급의 프로모션을 거쳐간 앨범이라고 할 수 있다.

 * 6월 13일 공개된 트레일러 영상을 통해 정규 10집 <[[The Renaissance]]>부터 이 앨범에 이르기까지의 히스토리를 축약하였다.[* 단 [[예성(SUPER JUNIOR)|예성]] 미니 4집 <[[Beautiful Night(예성)|Beautiful Night]]>은 정규 10집 <[[The Renaissance]]> 트레일러 영상에 삽입된 책에 밤 배경과 함께 1컷으로 수습하였다.]
 * 정규 10집 <[[The Renaissance]]>의 극악의 13종 멀티 발매에 대한 팬덤 반응을 의식한듯 앨범 사양이 2종으로 축소된 '''대신 포토카드가 무려 45종 (멤버 9인 X 5종)''' 인 것으로 알려져 더욱 거센 항의를 받은 바 있다.
 * Street 컨셉의 빨간색톤 의상을 두고 [[차돌박이]]를 연상케한다는 평이 많으며 해당 앨범 자켓 촬영은 2022년 1월, 즉 앞서 발매된 스페셜 싱글 <[[The Road : Winter for Spring]]> 발매 이전에 일찌감치 완료되었다고 한다.
