== 개요 ==
"All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend"는 주로 포크, 일렉트로닉, 신스 팝, 노르딕 포크, 얼터너티브 팝과 함께 가사를 통해 판타지, 가슴앓이, 삶, 죽음을 탐구하는 일렉트로 팝 앨범으로 묘사되었다. 이 앨범은 음악 평론가들로부터 긍정적인 평가를 받았다. 

== 배경 ==
오로라는 6살 때 피아노를 연주하기 시작했지만, 9살이 되어서야 자신의 노래를 직접 작곡하기로 결심했다. 한편, 오로라의 친구는 오로라가 고등학교 졸업식에서 했던 라이브 공연과 오로라의 노래 "Puppet"을 허락도 없이 온라인에 업로드를 해버렸는데, 그녀의 실력이 타고났던것인지, Artists Made Management 의 노르웨이 매니지먼트 에이전시의 대표에 의해 빠르게 발견되었다. 비록 그녀가 처음에 그 제안을 부인했지만, 그녀의 어머니가 오로라에게 ''' "아마도 그곳에 너의 음악이 절실히 필요한 누군가가 있을 거란다." '''라고 조언했고, 오로라는 자신의 어머니의 조언을 받아들였다. 그리고 몇 시간 만에, 이 두 노래는 [[페이스북]]의 팬층뿐만 아니라, 노르웨이에서 오로라에게 약간의 인지도를 가져다 주었다.

여러 개의 비앨범 싱글을 발표한 후, 그녀는 2015년 5월 데뷔 EP ''' "Running with the Wolves" '''를 발표하며 온라인 음악 블로그와 전국 언론으로부터 긍정적인 평가를 받았다. 오로라는 이 EP를 홍보하기 위해 미국과 영국의 도시에서 짧은 투어를 시작했다.

Running with the Wolves에서와 마찬가지로 앨범의 대부분은 그녀의 고향인 Bergen에 위치한 Lydriket Studios에서 녹음되었고, 추가 녹음은 런던의 The Engine Room과 Angel Recording Studios에서 녹음되었다. 그녀의 라이브 밴드인 Magnus Skylstad와 Odd Martin Skånes의 밴드 멤버들이 앨범의 대부분의 곡들을 프로듀싱했다. 앨범의 곡들은 오로라의 어린 시절부터 앨범이 끝난 2015년 3월까지 쓰여졌다. 2016년 초, 오로라는 영국 밴드 이카루스의 노래 "Home"에 피처링으로 참여했고, HBO 걸스 텔레비전 시리즈를 위해 데이비드 보위의 "Life on Mars" 커버를 발매했다.

"Spellemannprisen '16"에서 "All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend"는 팝 솔로 아티스트상과 올해의 앨범 후보에 올랐고, "I Went Too Far"의 뮤직비디오는 '''올해의 뮤직비디오상'''을 수상했다. 

상업적으로 이 앨범은 노르웨이 음반 차트에서 첫 주에 {{{#red '''1위'''}}}를 차지했고, 여러 유럽 차트에서 평범한 위치를 차지했을 뿐만 아니라 다양한 북미와 유럽 국가에서 50위 안에 들었다. 이 앨범은 노르웨이에서 '''플래티넘 인증'''을 받았고, 전 세계적으로 '''50만 장 이상''' 팔렸다.

총 6개의 싱글곡들이 이 앨범을 지지했고, 이는 모두 함께 제공된 뮤직비디오를 통해 보충되었다. "[[Runaway(오로라)|Runaway]]"는 6년 후 슬리퍼 히트곡이 되었고, 미국 [[빌보드]] 버블링 언더 핫 100에서 '''1위'''로 정점을 찍었다.
