이 곡은 빌보드 핫 100에서 2주간 1위를 기록하였고, [[1973년 빌보드 핫 100 연말 차트]]에서 28위에 올랐다. 제45회 아카데미 시상식에서 [[아카데미 주제가상]]을 수상하였다.

모린 맥거번과 이 곡의 송라이터인 앨 카샤와 조엘 허시혼은 1974년 영화 [[타워링]]의 삽입곡인 We May Never Love Like This Again도 송라이터를 하였다. 빌보드 핫 100에서는 83위에 그쳤지만 제47회 아카데미 시상식에서 아카데미 주제가상을 수상하였다.
