== 개요 ==
1994년부터 [[MTV]]가 주최하는 [[유럽]]에서 열리는 음악 관련 시상식. 해마다 주최 도시가 달라진다는 특징이 있다.

2013년부터 Best Korean Act 부문을 신설했다.

2023년 11월 5일 [[프랑스]] [[파리(프랑스)|파리]]에서 개최될 예정이었다.[* [[방탄소년단]] [[정국(방탄소년단)|정국]]이 퍼포머로 공연이 예정되어 있었다.] 그러나 [[2023년 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁]] 및 [[2023년 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁/경과#s-13|가자지구 병원 폭격]]으로 인한 유럽 [[이슬람]] [[테러]] 위기 확산 탓에 10월 19일 안전상 개최가 취소됐다.
