>M67 화염방사 전차는 한국 전쟁이 끝난 직후인 1955년 미군에 도입되었습니다. 유명 라이터 브랜드인 "지포"라고도 불린 이 전차는 M48 패튼 전차에 M7-6 전차 화염방사기를 장착한 모델이었습니다. 구멍과 누유 차단 장치가 달린 90mm 위장용 포신에 화염방사기를 장착하여 연소를 용이하게 하고 일반 전차로 보이도록 위장했습니다. 베트남 전쟁 당시 미 육군과 해병대는 예외적으로 약 256m에 달하는 넓은 범위까지 공격할 수 있었던 밀림 지대에서 M67을 적극 활용했습니다.

>The M67 Flame Thrower Tank was introduced to the American arsenal in 1955, just after the Korean War. Nicknamed the 'Zippo' after the well-known brand of cigarette lighters, it was essentially a M48 Patton fitted with a M7-6 tank flamethrower. The flame gun was housed in a dummy 90mm barrel with holes and drip shields, simultaneously aiding combustion and disguising the Zippo as a regular tank. The U.S. Army and Marine Corps made extensive use of the M67 in the jungles of Vietnam, where the exceptional range of its flamethrower (over 840 feet) made it highly effective.
